PROGRAM FOR SCHOOLS
Objectives:

- Give everyone a chance to shine outside the traditional academic setting.
- Improve and expand their vocabulary
- Enrich students’ cultural understanding of British and American art
Class size : Maximum of 20-25 students.
The On Stage! programs consist of two offerings, each of which can be subscribed to separately: one devoted to Shakespearean theater, the other to musicals.
The first aims to produce a review consisting of a selection of scenes from the Bard’s work, in English of course!
Regarding the musical offering, in order to maximize profits without placing too heavy a burden on the students, we are producing a musical revue (a selection of songs from various musicals) rather than a single play. This includes an introductory song that will require the participation of the entire troupe. Next, students will select a few Broadway or Disney musicals. We will select several songs from each, maximizing the group’s talent and ensuring that each student has a solo and therefore a moment in the spotlight. Auditions will be held to decide which roles will be assigned. There will be many acts involving the entire troupe. It is possible that some complete songs may be sung solo, depending on the talent and desires of the group. However, most solos will be shared among several singers, each having a verse or stanza within a group number. The program begins in November and the performance takes place in April.
